Description
"Reflective Automation" is a piece from the Hyperhighways series, presented at the Wilde Gallery in January 2025. This mirrored urban device recontextualized as an art object showcases of enigmatic geometric frames in fluorescent colors. The overwhelming accumulation of these motifs evoke the aesthetics of machine vision systems, particularly those of autonomous vehicles, and explore a potential evolution of urban signage.
By relocating it from public spaces to the gallery, Fragmentin prompts reflection on the future coexistence of humans and machines in our daily environments. The work delves into themes of control and perception in a world where infrastructures and technologies converge. It offers a critical perspective on how these monitoring systems influence our perception and interaction with shared spaces.
